I hope you will be able to disable the console. Because when I die alot, I tend to cheat.

Cheating will be one of the first things I will do to test out character builds and learn how certain talents work

In Fallout 3, I think bumping the max carry weight was: player.modav carryweight n. In Oblivion, carry weight/encumbrance was directly a multiplier of strength, but I suspect it will be more like Fallout 3 now that we don't have attributes.

I am a crazy OCD packrat when I play, so the above console command will probably be the first thing I try to do in the game.

We don't know and never will know any cheats until 11.11.11 because...

People don't played on PC yet.

Xbox360 doesn't have Cheats. (IIRC)

This is why I'm getting it on console and PC, because my PC will be my mod game after I complete the game on the console otherwise I'll cheat in the console :P

I should point out, due to eric22r's post (although I think he was just being funny), the following source of great confusion:

Console: Refers to a non-PC game system like XBOX 360 or PlayStation 3
Console: On the PC, refers to a window you can open during the game to issue testing and debugging "cheat" commands

I'll be interested to see if there are any glitches (deliberate or otherwise - I'm not convinced the Oblivion duplication and keep skill glitch wasn't intentional)

Once the character's developed and the MQ is over it's quite fun to give it 'a little boost'!

This. I wanna draw up some definitive answers to certain talent questions - for example: How much of a skill's potency is derived from it's rank, and how much from it's power-boost perk (ie. Light Armour skill rank, Vs Agile Defender rank), or "what is the definition of a matching set of armour... will wearring a cloth hood, or going without a helmet negate the bonus?"

I can answer that to you

By maxing your skills to 100 without any perks, your skill level is actually 50. Let's say that you have 20 skill in 1handed weapon and decide to take the perk for 20% more damage, your effective skill is now 24. For armor with maxed skill you are somewhere around 40 without perks since you get +150% boost to armor form them. Matching set of armor is everything except a shield so you can't wear hoodies or you lose 50% additional armor from perks :(

xbox cheats are commonly referred to as 'exploits'. which if prior TES games are any indication there will be plenty to be found in skyrim.

For the PC Version the codes should be: [I am sure that this will be the codes.. because it is just a modificated "Gamebryo" Engine... - so all Oblivion cheats should work... but i cant guarantee it...] <- Maybe Todd said: We wont see people cheating :D

God Mode: tgm
Noclip: tcl
Unlock: unlock (after klicking on a door/container)
Wireframe: twf (to see through Walls)
Show all Map Markers: tmm 1?
Chareditor: showracemenu
Free camer: tfc

Based on the other games Bethesda has made i think it's safe to say that the tgm console command will be there
