A solution to lag found on youtube

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 6:22 am

Change this PS3 system settings:

-Settings-Game Settings-PS Upscaler (OFF) PS Smoothing (OFF)

-Settings-System Settings-Display [What's New] (OFF) Notification Messages (DO NOT DISPLAY)

-Settings-Display Settings-Cross Color Reduction Filter (OFF) RGB Full Range (Limited) Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr Super-White (OFF) Deep Color Output? (OFF)

Many people confirmed the seemingly improvements.

And it could make sense, since those turned off features consume a lot of ram, because the PS3 OS is still running in the background, even when you play

People need to report that this works here before I attempt it. Just saying.

It improved.. but not that much. Bethesda just needs to release this patch already and be done with it!

It helped a lot at first ... but 20-30 gamplay hours later the game starts to deteriorate again :( (even turned off all the autosave functions)

these settings only delay the inevitable lag that's eventually going to get you.

Personally I wish I wouldn't have already sunk nearly 50 hours into this game because my account is already ruined.

I'm sure this will be patched but I have a feeling we might have to start new files.

Tested this a couple days ago. It DOES NOT help in the long run. Your issues, as well as mine, can and will, crop up and continue.

I think the only thing that will help is a patch, assuming they even release one that can fix it. I mean need I mention Fallout 3/NV or Oblivion? lol

Oblivion, you mean the game that only had a chance of framerate, lag, glitches if you spam used the duplication glitch? Yeah, good example there. :/

No I'm talking about the Oblivion that crashed, wouldn't let you cure vampirism (GOTY), made you get stuck in walls, lost voices (example Martin's end speech - had to rely on subtitles)

you had to change the ps3 system language to cure vampirism in oblivion which deleted the shivering isles save :/

I'll give it a shot but I doubt it. I noticed that there are 3 auto saves in the game. Why three? There should only be one auto save file not three. Hmm I wonder if that is the case? I am enjoying the game play besides the frame rate drops and bugs but come on Bethesda get your act together.

Same here, I just have wondered what game does requiere 3 Autosaving files and how on earth is that this isn't gonna screw performance, and how bad the code is that EVEN THE CREDITS stutter ?

It works for a day or so, but it'll go right back to being crap soon enough.
