Hey guys i need some help, i may be doing somethng wrong or maybe it isnt me buttt....
Im having trouble with activation codes, i bought RAGE yesterday (15/10/2011) and it is a Game For windows Game
I tryed to install it onto my Computer (windows 7 OS) and steam asked for a Activation code which usually are codes that are something like XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
Or something along those lines maybe a few less lines of X's.
Yet the code i got with RAGE is a XXX-XXXX-XXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX, i try to activate it for steam but nothing works/
So could somebody please tell me if i am activating it in the wrong place or what i have to do, im itching to play this game so any help would be greatly appricated.

Correct me if Im wrong but isnt rage a steam game not GFWL. I think OP is mistaken games for windows for GFWL.

don't put in the top line of the code, IE: the XXX-RAGE-XXX. that is not part of the serial number, just input the three X five alphanumeric code, that will work.

I am having a similar problem. Rage Anarchy Edition/Games for Windows/ PC-DVD- Steam asking for a 13 or 15 character key. MY key is 14 characters and Steam rejects as invalid. Any idea what the issue is or what I'm missing?

You should ignore the first part, eg. mine says "STI-RAGE-UK"

You need to use the part with the 3 words consisting of 5 ciphers which is AAAAA-BBBBB-CCCCC, it's not supposed to be AAA-BBBB-CC-DDDDD-EEEEE-FFFFF
