Why isn't Bethesda responding to anything on the forum?

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 4:01 pm

What's the point of these forums if Bethesda has little to no interaction with everyone posting their problems. Personally, the game is unplayable at the moment due to it freezing up every 3 minutes. Other people are having the same issue, and many more. They won't even sticky the consolidated help thread some other people made.

It's kind of a slap in the face to release a game this unfinished and buggy, only to completely ignore your customers on the tech support forum.

Because the Dev team usually takes a bit of a vacation once the game releases. I'm sure they'll be back on Monday :)

Agreed - I'd also like to be able to play this game. It probably doesn't help with the plethora of threads created by people complaining that their textures aren't as hi-res as they'd like them to be, or that their sound isn't at an adequate volume, when there are plenty of us that'd simply like to be able to play the game for 10 minutes without it crashing.

Amen to that...

Bethesda's forums tend to be rather strictly gamer to gamer. When they have it up and running, tech support has its own entirely separate pages.

there was a time when the week after release was an important and busy time for the devs, when they actually read the tech support, and not like today where they just get someone to jot down the popular bugs and send them an email.

then came the tendency to release too soon which means no dev will ever go to a forum again to face the music.

the music that the dev too has had forced on him/her by others.

the devs are proud of thier hard work,so when some fly by night suit tells them to release a bolloxed game they hurt too.

the bethblog tweeted that people should post their problems on the forum so I'm guessing they are planning to read them sometime

To be slightly more specific, you seldom get interaction from anyone other than the forum administration. Someone comes around and collects data, but almost never responds directly.

So i've just spent $60 on a game I can not even play due to technical issues beyond my abilities as a typical computer user?? $60 may not sound like a lot of money for some, but for others it is!

Does anyone know how I can receive a refund from Steam as it was a digital download?

This is absolutely unfair as a customer. (doesnt matter if it takes a month or even a week for them to fix the issues).
Instead of spending huge amounts of money on hyping and marketing the product, use this for testing!! I'm sorry, but this has very been frustrating and I'm at the point where I feel like I've just donated money to an organization who hasn't responded to their customers for PC.

If you paid by credit card, try disputing the charges based on the fact that you received a flawed unusable product.

No, they're around. They're all busy in the General Discussion area of the forums shutting down any new thread that doesn't kiss their feet.

The point is that we can assist and help one another to find work arounds for problems and we can post as much information as we can about our problems so the devs who peruse this section can pay attention, take notes, try to reproduce the problems and thus make as good of a patch to fix any issues as they can. Without us posting our problems they won't know of the issues.

And often you can sue the search and do a refined search using key words for your specific problems and find work arounds. We have many members here who assist people with problems so they can play their game while the patches are being worked on.

@ Zarender, moderators are not just in the general discussion area. We are all over the forum, moving as fast as we can to keep the forum organized, friendly and helpful in a very busy and difficult time. Please don't flame us for doing so. If I knew all the fixes, I would be offering it as I have been....

OP, there are a ton of threads about the freezes. Please feel free to join in one of the already open threads about the issue and seek help but please do so in a respectful manner.
