Levon was one of the most influential members of the drumming community.
The man could play a straight 4/4 and make it swing.
A rare gift and a personal inspiration.

He was in Shooter? The movie with Mark Walburg? I've never heard of this guy before today and I don't remember him in Shooter. I've probably heard his music.

Quite sad. I hadn't realized that in addition to his work with The Band, that he played Loretta Lynn's father in "Coal Miner's Daughter". What a surplus of talent he had.
