I don't think I need to warn you for spoilers...?

It's the second main quest, where you go to the excavation with your teacher and the rest of the class. After you get that message, about the danger, and you proceed on your own, there's a puzzle you have to do, bleak falls barrow style, with the snake, fish (?) and eagle. What's the solution, because I think I missed something along the way.

Hope some of you know what I'm talking about!

Just follow the spiders. It worked for Harry and Ron.

I was thinking about trying all combinations, but using my best maths, that would end up with too much to just try them all out.

Ok, doublepost, but it's fixed. My tv was too dark, I couldn't see stuff behind the switches needed to solve the "puzzle". Good thing I used that light spell. Mods can close this.

Yeah, it's great. I'm loving the college so far, eventhough I'm just in! Everything feels much more magical than it did in Oblivion.

I may know what your talking about, if your on the puzzle were there is 3 of those puzzle stone things on each side. Look behind the stone and it should show which (snake, eagle, owl) you need to do

Question for the OP: how long into the game did u do before you went to to college of winterhold to join the mages guild? Like did you play through any of the main quest or did you just head straight for winterhold? I am making a pure mage and want to join the mages guild asap I'm just not sure how much of the MQ I should do first
