Dual Wield Woes.

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 10:13 am

I'm trying to dual wield a set of daggers for my rogue. But every time i switch to a spell or torch etc, my hotkey for the daggers disappears. It's so annoing that im about to shelve this character and go with a sword and board warriorr. Never seems to happen when i use my bow though, maybe because its left hand weapon?

Anyway, I soldiered through it to around level 20, and i just cant take it anymore. I'm starting to use more illusion spells and its cramping my style to have to keep popping open the inventory to setup my daggers again.

Anyone have a workaround?

Wow page 3 in less than 5 minutes LOL.

So umm, is the only workaround for this is to use two different daggers (so that they dont stack) with two different hotkeys? That feels like such a waste given the limited number of hotkeys.

It's worse than that, I think. I know that I can't put a sword in one hand and an axe in the other - it just switches the two 'main' weapons around.

Yup, just tried using two different types of daggers with two hotkeys, and it just swaps the daggers in the right hand leaving my spell in the left hand.

I cant take this anymore. Either i quit using this character, or i quit using magic altogether.

Just pull your right handed weapon and use the Q button, just right click on the weapon you want to use in the left hand

For example I have my main (right hand on 1) and the left handed weapon in favourites, I just right click on the other dagger to equip it without opening inventory etc, would be great to pull those 2 at once but it takes only like 2 seconds this way anyway

On 360, just press RT on the thing you want in the right hand and LT on the thing you want in the left hand.
I think on PC its Right Click and Left Click.
PS3......don't really know.

Im glad Im not the only person finding this a pain in the bum! I had 2 Iron short swords which I could bind to one hotkey, but after improving one (using the Smithy) I cant duel weild anymore! I end up with sword in one hand and a spell in the other.Hope they can sort this out in a mod.

After some fiddling, it appears its only a problem when you have stacked items that are improved.

Once i switched to using unimproved steel daggers instead of improved ones, i've had no issues with the hotkeys. I can easily switch between everything just fine.
