I own the house in Whiterun, and I don't get the option to interact with any of the displays. I'll equip the weapon in the right hand, and stand right in front of a display, and nothing will occur -- no prompt or anything. Does anyone know of a solution for this?

Same here. I think its a bug as the one in Markath works fine.

Well, I'm mostly a bow/dagger user, so the weapons like the red eagle swords and whatnot. But I still would like the option to decorate my house.

I haven't tried anything with those yet.

Funny thing.. On my second playthrough, Whiterun weapon racks are working. I have only purchased living room and bedroom decorations so that might have something to do with it.

So far I've only put my two Thane weapons on that weapon display (Whiterun and Morthal). When you try to place an item on the display do you hear the dull thud it plays when you use the "activate" button and there's nothing around to activate?

Yeah -- I'll go up to the display, will get no prompt, but when I try to interact with it anyway, I get that exact sound.

That's interesting. Sounds like the game isn't recognizing the display as being there. How long ago did you put the furnishings in your house? Do you have a save right before you did it? If you do I'd suggest re-doing the furnishing (just the living room one) and see if it works. Otherwise you'll have to wait for Beth to patch it.
