Will you go through Bleak Falls Barrow knowing...

Once you go through all the way, you come out at Whiterun? Seems like a great way to start off, with a little bit of exploring and a feel of some dungeons. Plus, there's a word wall at the end.

Have in mind that we probably only saw 1/10 of Bleak Falls Barrow. There were numerous cuts in the video fast-forwarding to new portions. Also, the dungeon isn't part of the main quest, it's just a sidequest.

Furthermore, it's likely not a place you'd want to visit until you're maybe levels 20-25 (considering that the word wall inside contains the 3rd word of a dragon shout, after all).

I know, which only adds to the getting a feel for dungeons, I think I might go through just to get some action and learn Storm Call. I'll come out with a new shout, probably a level or two, and at Whiterun. Seems like a deal to me.

Yes I will. It's not too hard so it's a good place to train a bit and find some better equipment & make some gold, plus it gets me to Whiterun from where I can then head off into the big wide world of Skyrim.

Spoiler
It's part of the Main Quest. You can complete it without knowing it, but it still being part of the Main Quest.

The dragon claw was confirmed to be a side quest almost a year ago, it was one of the first pieces of info we got about radiant story.

Assuming that you're not grossly underpowered for even stepping 10 feet inside, of course. But I like your idea, if it's possible. The Whiterun revelation looks like a truly awesome vista shot, and there are many of those according to Todd and Frank.

It is part of the Main Quest. No matter which town you go to you will get a quest that will take you there, to get the Dragon Claw, as it is the only way to continue the Main Quest. Sorry! This has been confirmed by many people playing the game right now...

Certain editors who were given just three hours with the game had completed BFB with ease at level 2-6...so yeah

I'm thinking the same thing, also the Golden Claw quest will give me some gold to start off, plus any loots.

I think you mean it's a side quest, unless you go there again, the Golden Claw side quest is the only thing that forces you to enter it.

Yeah I will, and I don;t know if I'll come out at Whiterun, lots of exits to it apparently.
Wow, never heard that yet, thanks!

So you're forced to find the Golden Claw in order to beat the game? Hmmm... Bah, you're probably right though lol. Outdated information is outdated. They might've chosen to braid it into the main quest since it's been such an iconic quest as well as an awesome dungeon.

Cool, well that settles it then.

bleak falls is required for the main quest. You will be redirected there if you skip the first opportunity to do it and it is where you get your first dragon shout which is the first word of a dragon shout chain. it is a low level dungeon as well.

Seen a Lets Play of someone who has Skyrim. He went through there around level 5, it scaled to his level. It is about as long as we saw, but add in a lot of time just doing normal cave stuff. Took him about 30 mins and he was not to hot.

Oh, and I do believe word walls change which word they give you. Saw one playthrough here it gave the dude the ethereal shout, then another where it gave him the fire ball shout. IIRC of course.
