Will I actually be able to play and finish the 360 version?

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 4:03 pm

So apperently I'm a dumby who bought the ps3 version of skyrim thinking I like the controller better and a loved game company like Bethesda wouldn't put a broken game out on shelves in the year 2011.

Well that failed miserably as now 20 hours in and my game is bursting at the seams with lag freezes and bugs. 60 bones down the drain along with 20 hours of my life which if u go by my what work pays me is about 600$.

So my question should i get the 360 version and give another 60$ to these slimy bastards
along with 20 hours replaying? How does it hold up compared to the ps3? I hear screen tearig is bad but how bad?

I liken Bethesda to ur local drug dealer. They give u an escapist addictive product of epic proportions that wasted ur life but mixes in a bunch of nasty caveats that you know are there but refuse to accept. Sigh.

So the 360 version is busted too? WTF. Maybe I'll just quit this game all together. Like I said it doesn't deserve all the praise it received. Garbage product. Too bad cuz the actual game is awesome and would be phenomenal is it actually you know worked.

You make $600 working twenty hours?!

By the way, if you skipped work to play thats hardly Bethesda's fault.

the real pressing issue is that 20 hours of work only netting $600 means it's time to search for a better job, lol.

That's not where I was goin with that statement. My point was is time is valuable and when ur trying to beat a game and it cripples it is time wasted on something that is already essetially a waste.

Uhhh, that's a lot of money for 20 hours of work. If he worked a standard work week, that would mean he was pulling in nearly 5 grand a month before taxes.

And to answer your question OP, the Xbox's biggest issue is the low-res textures. There's little to no screen tearing (that I've noticed anyway). Frame rate is pretty consistent throughout. I've been playing for about 20 hours now and have encountered only a few bugs, although obviously your mileage may vary. I'd definitely take texture issues over lag any day!

Wow, 20 hours of work and you get $600? I only get half that for 20 hours of work.

Yeah it svcks that Bethesda once again releases a shoddy product. Game is great when it works but when it doesn't, I wonder if they are releated to Kerebos who released a Beta verison of a game as well. Way to go Todd, Funny how you never mentioned anything about how shoddy the stability is. Actually funny how we don't hear nothing from you now.

I'm in the same boat. I haven't hit the lag just yet, but my save file is just below 5mb and judging from the response I've seen all over the internet today, it seems it's almost an inevitability. I've already ordered the 360 version since I've heard a lot better things in regards to the stability, so I'll sell my PS3 copy to a friend who only has a PS3.

its about average, but whatever, at least here in NY it's average. Not that it's important anyway.

i could make a list of glitches and i will
1. Quest "Blood on the ice" doesnt trigger
2. Texture pops and other texture issues
3. loading screen sometimes freezes along with console
4.autosave creates multiple saves

and last but not least, my all time favorite. This happened when i was sneaking in a dungeon and became over-encumbered so I droped an item a bandit walks over to me and starts dialog saying
"I seen you drop an item, may i have it?" Sure go ahead i respond thus ending the dialog and entering combat.

I lived and worked in north Jersey for a couple years, about 45 minutes from NYC. It's above average there too (and on par with the median income of Manhattan, one of the richest parts of NY).

Or you could just wait until the patch comes out and see if that fixes it. Should only be a few days more, I'm guessing.

actually, the median average for some areas in Manhattan is only in the 70s. 70k isn't a bad living at all though in today's economy. It's far from one of the richest parts of New York though. Try searching up areas in Long Island like Great Neck, Sands Point, Manhasset, etc. But again, that's neither here nor there.
