1. Smelting Weapons & Armor.
There's really no good reason why you couldn't throw an Iron Sword, Dwarven Waraxe, Steel Helm, Gold Necklace, etc. in to the smelter and get ingots in return. Think of it as Skyrim's version of green-sourcing. LOL.
But seriously, that was something that was historically done as well. Viking warriors would melt the metal of their enemies' weapons/jewellry and then...
2. Craft Torcs/Arm Rings
The more bling you had, the wealthier/more important you were. If you were a great warrior, you would have MANY arm rings made from the melted down scraps of your enemies' possessions.
One per arm would add some visual interest to characters (they were often displayed on the outside of armor, I believe) as well as two extra enchantment slots.
Ideas? Comments? Anyone wanna do either one?
