[Req] Slow Down!

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 7:53 pm

Imo, same problem Oblivion and Fallout(s) had. The size of the world is cheapened by how fast your character can travel vast distances. They need to have a significant reduction in speed, this will make the world feel larger. I don't imagine it'll affect the combat aspect of the game to much with a sprint being included this time around. Keep that speed the same and let it remain dependent on stamina. But yeah, this is my formal request for a slow down mod. :)

You can speed up or slow down running and walking by using the console.

player.modav speedmult

You can check the speedmult value by typing in player.getav speedmult and either add to it or subtract from it (positive values make running and walking slower). Also, it seems to stick with save files, so there's no need to type it in every time you start.

You could toggle walk, or use an anolog form of movement :)

Is there a console command that only affects the speed of running? Indeed, I'd actually like walking to be marginally faster.

I was just thinking how it would be nice to speed up the walking a bit...thanks for the tip!

Can you change walk/run speeds individually in the console? I'd like to speed up walking slightly and slow down running speed.
