I am running into a problem when leaving certain areas where my game crashes and goes out to the RAGE "press any key" loading screen. I got stuck in the first sewer the game has near the starting location and also after completing the first buggy race. When I try to leave the sewer or finish the race it kicks me out of the game back to the RAGE "press any key" screen. I can see that the game creates an autosave after leaving sewer or finishing race but when I try to load this autosave it dies and kicks me out again. I can roam around the world without problem and have been in other areas where I have to go in and out like the garage when getting parts for buggy and that worked without any problems.

I did find a couple of other posts like this but not many people seem to be having this problem and I didn't end up finding a solution so I thought I would refresh this topic.

I am running the updated version of Rage.

My specs:
Win 7 64x Ultimate
Intel Core2Quad 2.66
4gb RAM
Nvidia 260 EVGA
32gb SSD

I can run game maxed out at 1920x1200, 16x aa, etc without issues.

If anyone has any ideas or can point me to look at anything I would much appreciate it. Thanks.

If you are back to the 'Press any Key' screen, dont try to load games, but exit the game and restart it.
And then try to load games.
You should be able to restore the game from the last autosave (or saved game).

So I tried exiting the game immediately after getting kicked back to the RAGE screen and tried going to Campaign and Continue and it kicked it back, also going in to Load and picking the Autosave kicks me out. I can load my last manual save point but that is right before I do the first buggy race and doing the race again gives the same result, kicks me out.

Try this too:
Load your last working saved game, and then try to load the autosave...

For me, when I have a crash/freeze/backtointro during an autosave, Im able to 'continue' the campaign'...
From time to time I have problems trying to restore an autosave (crash) but Im able to avoid it doing as above.
