Skyrim IssuesSeeking Opinions

Hello everyone. I would like to start off by explaining my personal experience while playing Skyrim on the PS3. When I first installed the game I had NO issues whatsoever except for the minor lag when the game was auto saving. Now fast forward 25 hours into the game with a save file around 5.5MB and now getting lag and freezes. Here's the thing though these freezes are not normal one we all have encountered at some point playing other games. When Skyrim freezes for me I cannot shut down the system short of unplugging the PS3. I am able to eject the disc which I do before unplugging the unit. I have tried everything to shut it down somewhat normally to no avail. I even held the power button on the unit down for well over a minute with no response. After the third freeze I stopped playing all together. I don't feel taking a risk playing this game is worth serious damage to my unit. Has anyone else had the PS3 freeze and then unable to turn it off? Your opinion would be most helpful.

On a side note (rant). I think Bethesda should be held accountable for their actions on selling faulty merchandise to their loyal customers. It's not like they haven't pulled this before on PS3 owners. Fallout Series, Oblivion, etc. Normally I don't post on forums but this is inexcusable and deplorable. If your coming to these forums for the first time after having a Skyrim issue of your own and see all the issues it looks like sheer chaos. I've also seen other post about people with no internet connection being screwed. They could not be more correct. Get it through your head guys. Not everyone has broandband or the choice to get it. Those who live in rural areas can only opt for high-speed which had horrible latency and download caps which make it impractical for online playing or even large downloads. Records indicate that only 53% of PS3 owners are online. Soooooo what about the rest of us? Furthermore I DO NOT CARE if Bethesda makes huge games which are bound to have crashes because god knows they should have enough experience at it. They have been making huge open sandbox games for how many years now? Why wasn't Red Dead Redemption filled with freezes or game ending bugs? Or Grand Theft Auto IV? How about Dragon Age? My god the list of open sandbox games could go on and on. There is no excuse for this as it is unacceptable. Just remember what I said not everyone has the chance to have broandband due to their location so the next logical step for them would be to purchase a SINGLE PLAYER GAME which is SKYRIM. Bethesda you are full of FAIL.

Mostly because this is a RPG... There's alot more ins and outs compared to GTA or red dead.. Plus it's gamebryo.. The engine svcka to work with.. And is dragon age sandbox? O.o every game has a game ending bug.. But it just will take alot of work to achieve this bug.
