BugsIssues and my NPC fixes

Since the uber lag started a couple days ago I've been running around the forums and I thought I'd share mine. I'll try to do it in list form. This is just what I've encountered. And I've only listed things that I've been able to recreate on reloads or through repeated actions. They're not big deals, but just my 2 cents on the little things that I've encountered.

- Some the times when I kill an Ice Wraith with a bow, they die up in the air out of reach and I can't access the ice pile
- The bookshelf in the alchemy room inside Whiterun house deletes my books after I try and Access it after I fill a shelf (lame)
- Found some floating fauna n grass near the sulphur pools between Broken Limb Camp & Eldergleam Sanctuary.
- 3 times out of a total 10 that I've transformed into a werewolf (activated with bow equipped and at the ready) I have a sword attached to my right claw
- During the Companions Quest : Blood's Honor, one of the beheaded witches strikes the standard unassigned npc pose (floating scarecrow pose)
- Random Cavebear appearances. More than a few times they just poofed into being right in front of me when traveling on a road.
- Issues had with the forever ice bolt or arrow in my face have been remedied with swapping gear
- Pickpocketing an item sometimes leaves an empty inventory space that I can loot if a person dies later (appears in my inventory as an empty line space). So far I've only encountered it with jewelry pieces
- This Topic box thinks I misspelled Skyrim
- Other stuff I forgot to write down

But I LOVE this game. Even with all little imperfections, who cares. I can't take a book without reading it (wtf I didn't want to learn conjuration I was gunna sell it). And waterfalls sound like there's heavy machinery going on in the background (Markarth is annoyingly annoying with this). S'my only complaints other than the LAG. But let's not beat a dead horse. The game is vast and complex. So if a few things get interwoven or an NPC or 4 I find are floating above ground until they start walking, then oh well. I shot a hawk out of the sky, slit a guys throat and created & equipped my WIFE and housecarl with custom dragon armor and Silent Moon weapons. I haven't even visited all the major cities yet O_o. This game is sixy.

My NPC fixes. A lot of people have issues of missing companions or people who should be at a certain location for a quest but are not.

First is the "Where's My Buddy?" issue.
This game (as far as I can tell anyways) doesn't take any shortcuts as far as NPC actions go. They don't magically appear where they're supposed to. So if you fast travel ahead of them and they're not there, they're probably just on their way. However if you are in an active party with someone (Like asking Lydia or another ally to accompany you somewhere) then fast travel will take both of you to your location. So the Oblivion (wait an hour) trick won't work. I say this for 2 reasons. I traveled across Skyrim with blade and companion members on foot (no fast travel) and it takes them a good game-day to get to some places (sometimes more, Skyrim is HUGE). But my best argument for this are 2 experiences I've had of accidently running into traveling ppls by happenstance. Same thing happened in both instances. Quest started, I say I'll meet them there, I go do other stuff (different quest, sweep a dragon den), then "Ohai wtf are you doing here", then I notice its on the way sorta. So I've "waited" 2 game days for someone to show before and that seems to work for me. If that won't work, babysit them the whole damn way there (they're prolly doing skooma under the docks).

"My dude is stuck" or "They're in a funky position" issue.
NPCs are awesome in Skyrim, but they're still just NPCs. And they get a little stuck sometimes (they can't jump and have anxiety attacks when they can't go somewhere). Best advice for the guy stuck in the pond, or behind a rock, or between random crap. Unrelenting Force lv3. Knocks them far away from wherever and whatever it is they're stuck behind/in/under/between. Same thing goes for the funky position ones. I've finished a quest a few times either in sneak mode, or while the companion is in their limping mode, and they get stuck like that as a result. Aela wouldn't get out of sneak mode no matter what I did, so I Unrelenting Force'd her off the top of Throat of the World then fast traveled down and she was good to go. (BTW her high sneak/archery skills makes her a boss companion for a Sneak/Archer-class character, no more getting seen because of heavy metal tagging along behind you).

"They skipped dialogue" or "I didn't get the chat option to (whatever)" or "I'm stuck talking to this person"
Don't rush the dialogue. You have to give the NPC time to switch between the regular jibber jabber and quest related dialogue. Since a lot of quest related NPCs are used for multiple quests it's best you let them just talk it out before you speed-readers decide to just skip ahead. And some NPCs actually require you to finish a quest before you can chat them up proper again.
And don't be in a rush to chat someone up while they're in the middle of another action. I'm not talking about them sitting down or stuffing their face, I'm talking about when they're getting up after a brawl or something like that.

Try and understand that there are a lot of rules that govern the game and don't be such a [censored] when things don't work out the way you think it should.
