(REQ) Faster Shadowmere

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 5:31 pm

It seems that despite being a little sturdier and aggressive, which is good, Shadowmere is a horse like all others... Very slow! As a high level character with high stamina and the light armor perks, I dont see any point to get on a horse at all. It should be different with Shadowmere, who was the fastest of all steeds at the close of the Third Era.

Something like a 50% speed boost should suffice, although I have no idea if thats possible without the CK. Just throwing it out there in case it is :)

I agree, Shadowmere needs a speed boost. But the thing is, if the speed is increased, I think the animation would have to be adjusted a bit as well wouldnt it? But it shouldnt be too hard

You know you can sprint on horses too, right?

Considering the Default horse speed is close to that of sprinting speed on foot.

Have you tried this:
- open console, click on horse, enter command "modav speedmult 50", close console

On the payer and NPCs this increases the run/sprint speed multiplier from 100 to 150. Haven't tested on horses.

"getav speedmult" shows the current value.

I realize this is fairly common knowledge by now, but just in case :)

Edit: Using the console may disable achievements.

Actually whilst I was aware of the command's existence on a general level, I hadnt realized it could be applied to individual actors aside from the player...

Thank you :D

Edit: Just tried it out in game and Im in awe, this is PURFECT

Didn't even know Shadowmere was in the game.

Next time put a *Spoiler* tag.
