[REQ] Candlelight

It's really annoying to cast the Candlelight spell every 60 seconds when you're exploring the dungeons. So I tought it would be great if anyone could make it last for 10 minutes.

Carry a torch. ;-)

In the past there have been several mods that increased spell duration, although in Skyrim they are a lot longer than in Oblivion already.

I don't have a torch every time , but I do have a Candlelight spell always. ;)

Torches don't last that much longer either, plus they're difficult to come by.

Really? I've turned down brightness as low as the slider will go and still caves and dungeons are too bright.

I would love a candlelight, maybe as a conjuration spell instead, which conjures a floating lantern with a warmer less harsh light than the bright alteration one in the game. Maybe I'm getting too exotic here, but I loved the lanterns in Morrowind and wish I could use them in some way in Skyrim. Although so far most dungeons aren't dark enough to need it, but still.

Why not just make it a toggle spell? Wouldnt be very dificult and would be very nice if when toggled it becomes a active power which would free up a hand :hubbahubba:

I wouldn't mind if it was Cast to summon, lasts X minutes or cast again to dismiss -- or even just cast to summon, again to dismiss. Most of the dungeons are pretty dayglo but there are a few times I've needed light and, yeah, recasting the light ball is lame, particularly if the light blinks off while you're jumping like an idiot to a ledge you may or may not be able to reach with a 100' drop below. Search ALL the places!

we are looking into changing many of the spells and powers already such as the kahjiit night sight... this is similar, what i am thinking is we take this and make it so that first cast is on and second cast is off. we should be able to do this with scripting.
