Orc settlements?

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 5:59 pm

So I was on a thread today, and he mention that there were orc settlements and they acted like tribes. So does anyone have any info on this? Im planning as playing an orc, so how would I be able to socialize with these other orcs? Anybody have any insight or detail on this. Thanks in advanced! And if this info about orcs was complete BS, please enlighten me.

They're probably refugees from their homeland which was invaded/sacked by Redguard and Breton

The orcs were run out of Orsinium by the redguards and bretons, I think. So, they went to Skyrim like the Dunmer.

Orsinium was sacked by Hammerfell and High Rock AGAIN (as described in Lord of Souls, so it occurred over 100 years ago). Skyrim welcomed Orc refugees.

and it seems that I was right.... I mentioned in a topic long ago that I feel the Nords will be pissed about all the refugees and someone said "No". Anyone want me to tell them what the Stormcloaks want or are we good? ;P

Poor Orcs.. Damn those Bretons, and Redguards; damn them, and their cold, cold hearts.

How did they have it coming?

What's up with all these refugees scenarios in games lately? There's one in Dragon Age 2 with the Qnari, now it occurs twice in Skyrim with the Dunmer and the Orcs.
I detect some real life influences :whistling:

except the Orcs and Dunmer are no longer refugees, their ancestors (from over 100 years ago) were, though. ;)

But the Nords still apparently aren't very happy with their presence and their culture. Which is reminiscent of one particular case IRL :whistling:

In my country anyway. But I digress. I hope there are Orcish mercenaries :ahhh:

What are you getting at, anyway? Every nation has at least one minority that a majority dislikes (oversimplification, but surprisingly true).

Fair enough

It should be interesting to deal with all these conflicts in Skyrim. If the tutorial is any indication the game should have you make a lot of choices.
I still haven't decided whether to join the imperials or the stormcloaks when you start. :ahhh:
