I just read a review and a few points concerned me. They implied that NPCs don’t tend to react to your actions, aside from guards who will occasionally talk about your exploits. In one instance, the reviewer did a quest to retrieve a valuable item for an NPC, and then stole it, but the NPC in question made no mention of the stolen item. That’s somewhat understandable, but then the reviewer murdered a married woman and both her husband and son said nothing about it, even sleeping in the bed right next to the dead woman. I know that there are limitations in the AI and that NPCs didn’t react in
Oblivion either. I remember murdering the Countess of Anvil after the Thieves Guild quest, and realistically, that would have made the Count quite angry after everything that he went through to get his life back. But he didn’t care. Things like that really hurt the immersion for me.
