"achievements have been disabled..."

I'm playing with the console enabled, and a few days ago I started getting this message at every load from a saved game and every area transition. OK, I see the point of notifying the player once, but it's getting seriously wearying. I'm thinking, "yeah yeah yeah, I know, I got the message first time around, get out of my face roundabout now please".

The seemingly obvious solution - seta com_AllowConsole 0 - doesn't work; it seems that if you've enabled it once then the message will continue to persist.

So a suggestion for the next patch - one time only per game session, please? Otherwise I may have to end up playing Rage a third time with the console disabled from the start (now that's a serious threat! ;) )

This will continue until you start a new game. And it will pop up evertime you "earn" an achievement. I had to start a new game for it to stop. Oh and make sure to disable the console first...

Oh wow. Enabling console will nullify your entire game progress for achievements. I think that's a little excessive. They need to make it re-enable achievements as soon as console is disabled. I couldn't care less about people obtaining single player achievements through cheating. Multiplayer is a different story.

+1 I agree on this. Finished the game on "Nightmare" on my first play-through with a Custom CFG via the CFG gamer I made. Just to find out they locked all achievements when the console is enabled a little harsh indeed if you ask me.

I'm not too bothered about the achievements myself (I guess they add something extra for people who like that kind of thing; they're just not for me though), the constant nagging pop-up is hugely annoying though. Once per session - when you first load - would have been sufficient if a reminder was to be considered necessary.
