Yeah, frost trolls are tough cookies. I ran into my first troll with Lydia at level 17, expert level. It wasn't a frost troll, just a regular troll. I died, wen back and tried to use some strategy by backing away to where he couldn't reach me while I healed. And the freak'n thing started to heal himself too! @$@$#!

But I did get him the second time. But I didn't grind Smithing, I just use my skills naturally so my one handed, armour and block are about equal to Smithing. I also only raise health at level ups at the expense of stamina and carry weight. But this is where the racial ability and Lydia come in handy.

BTW if dragons were modded to regain health too if they are not hit, then they would be tougher to beat also.

Im lvl 44 and finished the quest my friend just did at lvl 13.
I maxed smithing, enchanting at about 90, full with daedric and dragon gear, enchanted with stuff like +20% onehand dmg, upgraded with +120% smithing buffs in total (4armor pices +potion).
It was easy as [censored] first but now - even at 330 armor and 400hp, i still take alot of dmg from some physical attacks and arch mages burst me down like nothing.
It was also funny when a frost dragon did over 200dmg to me with frost breath when i had my orc racial active (half dmg... wouldve been dead except i used pots while getting breathed at). Then i got attacked by normal dragon and he did barely 1/8 of my health with one breath.

The balance is pretty weird and i dont think frost trolls are worse than giants, arch mages, daedrics.

On master ARCHER with RESTORATION skill can kill ANY bunch of mobs,especially if there is house with stairs or something for pillar/roof kiting.

Hit and run,run around pillar,hit and run,run aroudn pillar,run and heal,hit hit hit hit and run,heal etc etc etc evryone dead.


Im not sure about mage and warrior.But i believe any bunch of npcs can be killed on master WITHOUT using mana or health potions.

IMO magic kind of svcks. Maybe I'm not building my magic right but it's just not that powerful. Swords/bows and armour seem to be a lot more reliable. All the bigger monsters a definitely a [censored] to kill. I've only killed 1 ice troll and that was because I ran away and got on top of something he could get on and I kept hitting him in the head with arrows and this is at level 15.
