This is the idle menu screen for me that I get everytime I launch Skyrim, after the initial Bethesda logo screen.

If I hover over any of the menu for a a few seconds the game just crashes to desktop.

AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4Ghz
4Gb RAM
XFX Radeon 5770 XXX edition 1GB
Windows 7 professional 64bit

Game running on ultra settings.

I got the game to run once into the opening sequence whereby everyone was just chilling on a load of rocks with random heads floating about and the sound indicated we should have been riding on a carriage or something.

I have the same problem AMD graphics also...

This is completely unacceptable. I can understand a game having a few glitched but it shouldn't be completely unplayable. I just payed ￡35 for this game and I can't even play it. Bethesda need to sort this out now.

Same thing is happening to me and im pretty upset. It took 7 hours for it to download and then this happens...
