crash-hardware configuration

i have an older pc, however, it is still pretty fast. i know i need to get a new system but i just dont have the cash yet. i can run brink and new vegas with no problems. rage will crash when i try to start the game. i think, from what i have read on forums, that the poblem is the graphics card. what is the best graphics card to use with the hardware configuration? all the drivers and the game have been updated. thank you for any help you can give. system info and rage error report follows:

intel pentium 4 3.0ghz
3 gb ram
intel older(2004) mobo with open standard pci slot-not pci express
