Hi,

Currently running Skyrim on Windows 7
Specs:
-i7 processor
-Nvidia GTS 250
-9 GB RAM

I should be able to run the game on high or medium settings, and it will run, but about 20 min into the game in the same spot, the game will freeze, crash to the desktop, and then a message at the bottom right pops up saying something along the lines of
"Display driver has crashed and successfully recovered."

Are there any fixes for this? I will provide additional info if requested...

I looked over the forums, no one else seems to really have this problem, if there was and i missed it sorry for the spam. Help would be appreciated though

You overclocked at all? This happens to me when I overclock and play for extended periods of time.

Nope it's not overclocked Tbh I dont really know how to overclock :S

I am having the same issue with an AMD HD 5700. I used to have my card overclocked in the CCC, but even turning it off still leads to these crashes. Sometimes the driver is able to recover and I stay in the game, but most of the time the game crashes to desktop.

I can't seem to find a clear source for this issue, as I've crashed in battle both indoors and out, walking around outside, going through my inventory, selling/enchanting/herbalism interactions, etc.

It would be nice if I could find an error log, but clicking on the little notification in the taskbar doesn't bring anything up.

Windows 7 64 bit
AMD HD 5700
Intel i5 2.6 gHz
8 gigs RAM
Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3 motherboard with onboard HD Realtek sound

I've also turned off the Gigabyte overclocking tool, and the game still crashes.
