as far as I know, intel won't ever do that for specific game or application. so don't hold your breath. every game or application work just fine. Rage is only game in trouble so much.

Actually Rage does play on Intel HD Graphics. Wonder why no one has posted this before now?

ASUS U50 Series U50F-RBBAG05 NoteBook
Intel Core i3 330M(2.13GHz) 15.6" "I have upgraded the CPU"
4GB DDR3 Memory "plus faster & more ram"
500GB HDD DVD
Super Multi
Intel HD Graphics

I just decided to look to see if there was a newer driver and there was.
Looks like it be best to run this tool: http://www.intel.com/support/siu.htm an then this: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect/graphics
for laptops & let it find the newest drive for your Intel HD Graphics hardware.

I started Rage, the intro played nicely, but looks like once in game I may have the 1 fps bug.
I'm going to do some testing, but I 1st need to find a few tools, something that will show FPS in game.
MSI Afterbuner doesn't work with Intel HD Graphics. Anyone know something that will?
As I find time I will try some tweaks and command line/config's to see if I can improve the looks & play.
Right now textures are coming in really slow, movement is slow, so the reason I think I have the 1 fps bug.
I'll post back when I have any new news or how its going as time permits

Anyone have any in sites or suggestions, all are welcome.

I had some time to play with configs for this setup today, got some improvement in FPS.
But feel there could be more to be had if only I knew more about what I'm doing.
To be honest I'm pretty lost as to what some of these command line do.

Here is my starting config rageconfig.cfg

com_allowConsole 1
fc_maxCacheMemory MB 512
fs_cachepath D:\id software\Rage << does this actually work?
jobs_numThreads 0
vt_maxPPF 8
vt_pageimagesizeuniquediffuseonly2 4096
vt_pageimagesizeuniquediffuseonly 4096
vt_pageimagesizeunique 4096
vt_pageimagesizevmtr 4096
vt_restart

This seems to help FPS inside.

This is my second config I have tested: 2.cfg "actually there where many others, but my 2nd that seemed to help"
exec 2.cfg from within game from the console.

cvaradd g_fov 10
seta com_videoRam "1024"
seta com_maxfps "60"
seta image_anisotropy "16"
seta image_usecompression "0"
seta image_filter "GL_LINEAR_MIPMAP_LINEAR"
seta image_preload "1"
seta image_lodbias "0"
seta image_ignoreHighQuality "0"
seta image_ignoreLowQuality "1"
seta image_useCache "1"
seta image_cacheMegs "125"
seta image_cacheMinK "50"
seta r_swapInterval "1"
seta r_useHighQualityPostProcess "1"
seta r_shadowsHighQuality "1"
seta r_displayRefresh "0"
seta r_renderer "best"
seta r_multiSamples "32"
seta r_useHBAO "1"
seta r_userenderThread "0"
seta r_visDistMult "1"
seta r_useMotionBlur "1"
seta r_skipBump "0"
seta r_skipSpecular "0"
seta r_skipNewAmbient "0"
seta r_shadows "1"
seta r_cgFragmentProfile "best"
seta r_cgVertexProfile "best"
seta vt_lodBias "0"
seta vt_pageimagesizeuniquediffuseonly2 "8192"
seta vt_pageimagesizeuniquediffuseonly "8192"
seta vt_pageimagesizeunique "8192"
seta vt_pageimagesizevmtr "8192"
seta vt_maxlockedpages "256"
seta vt_maxPPF "8"
vt_restart

This seems to help in out side places, like when moving to the next mission.

I know there are some really smart people on here that know much more than me on what does what.
What I'd like is to get some of you to help me get the lowest possibly settings setup for a config to try.

I noticed when blood or gore is being seen the FPS drops off pretty good, especially when being shot myself.
Is there a way to turn off blood or gore?

I been testing different things for about 6 hours now, really could use some help.
Thanks for reading & thanks in advance for any help post.

Edit: Oh I'm at a res of 640x480 windowed for now.
Don't really care how good it looks, looking for best FPS for now, can always work on looks later.

System Specs:

ASUS U50 Series U50F-RBBAG05 NoteBook
Intel Core i3 380M(2.53GHz) 15.6" "I have upgraded the CPU was a 330M"
4GB DDR3 Memory "plus faster ram"
500GB HDD DVD
Super Multi
Intel HD Graphics

Edit2: link to CPUZ info: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2094889
Might be more helpful. CPUZ shows 1718 MBytes of video ram.

Forgot to post FPS, there not much but better than it was to start with.
Inside area 5fps to 15fps, outside, not so good 2fps to 10fps.
Game is playable some what. if you like slow motion. lol :toughninja:
But actually the slow down can help at times, its sure no problem to get a aim and head shot almost every time.
Looking down while moving can spike FPS as high as 40FPS, zooming with scope boost fps as well 20/30fps.

Haven't found much time today for trying anything new with all the football games.
what I need is a really tweaked config for low a end rig/Graphics.

I got some improvement in FSP using this launch option in stream: +set com_skipIntroVideo 1 +r_swapInterval 1 +vt_maxPPF 64 +vt_pageImageSizeUnique 8192
+vt_pageImageSizeUniqueDiffuseOnly 8192 +vt_pageImageSizeUniqueDiffuseOnly2 8192 +fc_maxcachememoryMB 1024 +ik_enablesmoothing 0 +fs_cachepat

This is my latest RageConfig.cfg:

ik_enablesmoothing 0
seta vt_maxlockedpages "256"
seta com_videoRam "1718"
seta com_maxfps "60"
com_allowConsole 1
fc_maxCacheMemory MB 2048
fs_cachepath "C:\Users\TheWolf\AppData\Local\id software\rage"
jobs_numThreads 0
vt_maxPPF 8
vt_pageimagesizeuniquediffuseonly2 4096
vt_pageimagesizeuniquediffuseonly 4096
vt_pageimagesizeunique 4096
vt_pageimagesizevmtr 4096
vt_restart

Frame rate went up a good bit, but still not quite good enough.
I ran into my 1st crash with Rage with the above settings.
It happens on the 1st bandit car fight to get money from Sally.
Once I start into the fight & fire a rocket just as it hits the car
I get booted from the game. While in the fight frame rate drops to 2 FSP.
If I don't fight I can go on without any problems.

Anyone see anything in my launch or config that might be causing a problem or that needs changing to maybe improve frame rate??

System:

ASUS U50 Series U50F-RBBAG05 NoteBook
Intel Core i3 330M(2.13GHz) 15.6" "I have upgraded the CPU"
4GB DDR3 Memory "plus faster & more ram"
500GB HDD DVD
Super Multi
Intel HD Graphics

http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2094889

Edit: I'm now seeing anywhere from 10fps to over 30fps just depends where I am, but can still drop to 2/3 fps in something like a car fight open area.
Ya I see the conflicts in some of the options, 64 & 8, 8192 vs 4096, but I think the rageconfig.cfg over rides those??
Sure could use some help. I'm still pretty lost on what most of this does. lol
