No. We play this game for the story, not the need to eat. Our bodies in real life tell us we're hungry. This mod is almost like saying hey, we need to force your character to sleep and each hour of sleep is 10 minutes of real time.

Completely unnecessary in regards to practically considering we can just instant eat something too...

You obviously didnt play Fallout New Vegas, and if you did you did not play it on hardcoe mode which added the need to eat, drink, and sleep. It also added weight to alot of things like ammunition and stuff like that. The hardcoe mode added immersion, which to me is essential in a RPG...And not just that but it made it more challenging and for some, more challenge = more fun..

Oh and when you say "WE play this game for the story" it sounds like you think you are the voice for everyone in the community, well I for one, play for more than JUST the story...

I would love a mod that adds the same thing into Skyrim..And knowing just how many people loved New Vegas on HC mode I am sure someone will eventually make one for Skyrim. You just hafto wait

Yes. We all have a choice of whether or not to download and use a mod. Some will want it, some will not. I probably wouldnt use all the time but I would like the choice.

I will be including Needs (eat/drink/sleep) as part of an optional module for my Skyrim version of ART (Arwen's Realism Tweaks).

It will be similar to the way that I modded Needs in my http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7565 Med-Tec module.

Apologies on my miss use of 'we'. I didn't mean to come across so crass but in regards to the eating function within Skyrim. Eating takes but half a second and now that I think more in depth about it. Acquiring necessary ingredients does pose quite the task and would increase the 'immersion' level.

Possibly add additional stat boosts to foods too? Soup enhances magicka, meat enhances physical damage, etc?

He didn't say anything about NV

You obviously do not understand what I was talking about....The reason I brought up NV was because he was talking about how pointless it is to have a mod that adds hunger, and I said that he obviously did not play NV or if he did, he did not play or like hardcoe mode, or else he would see that it is not pointless to add hunger to the game....

I was using it as an example...

Dont worry bout it, thats just me being nitpickey...lol sry. But yeah, in NV your stats would go down the longer you didnt eat sleep or drink which made food alittle bit more useful than adding a bit of health. And the food in Skyrim is for the most part pretty damn usless only giving like, 2 points of health...lol so yeah.

Thats good to hear Arwen, cant wait

I'll begin working on my Skyrim Realism Tweaks just as soon as the Creation Kit is released.
(I've already compiled a list of things that I plan to change or add.)
Version 1.0 will likely just include my Realism Core, the optional modules will come a bit later.

If the kit releases now how long will it take you to release the core?

I get that people are in a hurry for mods, but I need to actually spend some time using the Creation Kit, before I'll know how much I can do in version 1.0 of my Tweaks.
Until I know how much I'll be adding and changing, it is impossible for me to give any meaningful estimate, so I'm not going to even try.
My Realism Tweaks are huge Overhaul mods, not simple tweaks. But they are modular, which makes it a bit faster to get my Realism Core released.

Fallout New Vegas was released on Oct 19, 2010, the NV GECK was released almost immediately.
I released version 1.0 of my NV Tweaks on October 23rd . . . BUT NV's GECK was nearly identical to FO3, so most of my scripts only required minor edits from the ones I used in my FO3 Tweaks.
I did not mod for Oblivion, so it all depends on how different Skyrim's Creation Kit (and scripting language) is from Fallout 3's GECK.

I'll be transferring the needs mod linked in my sig over from Fallout 3/New Vegas. I'm looking forward to using an actual object oriented programming language to mod - hopefully the Script Extender guys were right about that part.
