Post » Wed May 16, 2012 4:27 am

If you read it they said that it's been sent in for certification which means that until they're given the OK, they can't put it out. Having said that, it wouldn't be a good idea to put out information on a patch that hasn't been fully set in stone yet.

my doubt is:

changing the DVD with another, would solve the problem of texture?

or not about the DVD?

No, it's doubtful getting a new copy of the game would solve the texture bug.

So when's Thanksgiving?

The 24th this month. So it's the last week of November that you could expect the update.

Never mind. I missed that it had been answered above. I do wish Beth's "Community Manager" would not speak in colloquialisms however

It would still be nice to know what issues they are addressing.

I'm not asking for patch notes/change log. I think it would be nice to know what general issues they have addressed. I.e, large game-save issues on the PS3 and texture issues on the xbox. Sorry, I rarely complain but considering the MAJOR technical issues Skyrim had on going gold (I for example, am running skyrim from the disc on xbox, and given the poor quality of dvd drives MS uses this is reducing its life span) a general update would simply be polite.

See this is why most companies keep quiet. You can't make everyone happy, there will be someone who always complains about something. If they mentioned what was in the patch, you will be guareented someone will complain, why did they fix this and not that? How come this isn't being worked on. Also things can change in the mean time. What I am wondering is, why does it take so long? So it seems Bethesda already has the patch made, so why is it taking Microsoft and Sony so long to check it out?

Then again, how did they get the 1.1 patch out so fast? Was this being looked over by Microsoft and Sony before the game was even released?

Also don't forget, didn't they say a week within after Thanksgiving? So that would mean first week of December?

No it means the week beginning 28th Nov. Nothing Bethesda can do about how long MS take. Dont forget there are loads of other games submitting patches that need testing before being released on xobx live too

I really hope they fix some of the quest bugs...I can't even start the Thieves Guild quest because Brynjolf won't leave the stall.

You would think Skyrim takes presedence over anyone else. Just imagine more 360 sales because of how poor people think the PS3 version is.

If they just said "this will be addressing the low texture problem as well as other issues" that would do for me. At least then I would know when I can start playing it.

The low res textures are a gamekiller for me, its not that its unplayable, its because I have seen what it should look like, and I don't want to throw my time playing something that looks like its 10 years+ old. I want to experience the game as it was meant to be, not some half baked excuse that doesn't even render properly. I don't want to have to go back and start again so I can see what the game should have looked like.

I am annoyed by the lack of feedback over all these problems, a thread started by a moderator containing every bug that has been reported and verified with a simple "These are the current bugs at the moment, we are looking into these as a matter of urgency, please be patient" would stop most of the complaining on the forums, or at least allow people to point any future complaints towards that thread.

I am amazed by the apparent lack of care from Bethesda towards any problems on the 360 version. If a moderator posted in one of the bug threads saying "thanks for posting all of these, rest assured we are looking into them all but please understand it will take some time to go through these" that would be work.

The texture problem seems to affect users who never installed the game according to some posts, yet the sticky about this still reports its the install which causes it. Are the developers even being updated to posts on this forum? What's the point of posting problems if we are not even sure these are being forwarded to the right people?

Edited due to weird censoring of acceptable phrases

They have said in the sticky they're working on a solution for the texture issues in the next patch (the one in a week or so)
