Hi skyrim people.

Im only level 4 cos im new to this kind of game. My save file is Nearly 3500 and guess what i already have the lag/framerate issues everyone else has. What crap im so pissed off and its my second copy. I swapped to see if there was a bad batch but both the same crappy framerate which is getting worse.

wow, at that time my gameplay was very fluid(apart from one very intense amount of lag for 30seconds in a cave very early in the game), my game played great up untill 8.5mb + with somewhere between 40 and 50 hours gone.. im at 72 hours now and the game has truly become unplayable. im not touching it again until the patch..... such an epic game and such a [censored] up thing to happen just as your getting into it........

Being new probably did it for you. You most likely have explored too much in one go.

The problem isn't specifically the size of the save file, it's how much is loaded into memory at one time. For instance, my save file is over 8k but runs smooth for me unless I fast travel to more than 3 or 4 zones in one go. Or I run around and explore new area.. I may get up to 10 new sites uncovered, but it really starts boggin down until after I get too many new areas loaded, it gets really unplayable.

The fix is to never do that. Unfortunately you really have to micro manage this game and what you do. I try to never play more than an hour without saving, quitting and restarting the game.

Also, I never ever save and continue without quitting first. If I die, I never load up a game, I quit and reload fresh instead of leaving the game to keep building up memory load.

Basically keeping the stuff your console has to remember down to a minimum is the key.

There are plenty of people that don't really have a problem with the game and it's because they actually have just learned to play with this restriction in game play. Remeber this game is like no other. It remembers every dang thing you do.. knock an apple on the floor 5 hours ago???? Still remembers.

Better to let him forget some of it every hour or so.

It seems to vary. Mine started 20 hours in with a save file of 5.1MB. Some people don't hit it until 8. Some people don't hit it at all.

I'd be interested in knowing the technical details when they fix it, but I am sure the patch notes will just say "fixed".
