Why cant i open skyrim nif files : V

when ever i try opening a .nif it just gives me error messages. Inst nifscope supposed to open Skyrims models?

You need to search for an updated nif.xml file.

Because NifSkope hasn't been updated yet to open the new nif files.

isnt a nif file a nif file. Shouldnt it open any of that file type?

No, a .nif is not a .nif. File formats are developed, and tools need to be updated to accommodate those developments.
