still cant seem to get rage to work my spec

dual quad core xeon 2.33
8 gb ram
radeon 6790
win 7 pro 64-bit
using amd catalyst 12.1a

still gettin texture "checker board" issues and if i use amd catalyst 11.9 with the rage enhanced driver game crashes some one help for god sake i just wanna finish the game and delete it NOT lookin good for the next DOOM game is it

Might be as simple as this: Go to your catalyst options, and uncheck "disable catalyst AI," you might have it checked beause of older games.
Also, do NOT use enhanced AI, stick to standard to make sure it works.

The only problem I ever had in Rage was the checkerboard issue, and it took me a while to find that that issue is fixed easily.

It's looking rather good for the next DOOM game actually, and Rage only got its issues because they didn't care much for the PC, but they've already said it was a mistake and are focusing on PC first

I have no idea why the game would behave like that on your setup. Memory doesn't seem to be the issue, and the driver should have taken care of the checkerboard texture.
That is, unless you are running a really high res (eg. 2560 x 1440) with anti aliasing - then that 1 GB card possibly won't be enough.

I guess it couldn't hurt to try if you disabled any kind of AA you have, and set the texture cache to small.

Don't complain here , it's ur fault don't u know that. Rage is a perfect same with their advance open gl I'd tech 5 engine.... Made for console from the start. Carmak forgot pc tech improves.
