First of all I think this game kicks ass! Great job to the devs! The only issue I am having is that I keep getting random freezes while I am in game. The game runs super smooth, but occasionally it will freeze for one or two seconds. this happens i'd say every 10 - 20mins of playing.

My specs:
intel q9550 stock speeds
evga gtx 560 stock speeds
4 gig ram
win 7 64bit

Seeing how the freezes are not constant, it points to maybe something else running in the background on your computer. Such as a messenger program, or maybe your AV software.

possibly, it just occurred that I have never tried playing RAGE while Steam is in offline mode, I'll give it a try and see what happens, you'd think all would be well with my quadcore cpu...oh well..thanks for the input:)

I have myself also found there to be less short freezes/hitches when playing with Steam set to offline mode.
Lag can also be caused by a too slow CPU though (CPU too weak for the HDP Texture decompression and DXT recompression), or the game being installed on the same harddrive as the operating system (typically windows) which by default has a lot of disk IO all the time which will conflict with when the game loads stuff (whereas the Xbox360/PS3 have very little disk IO) and can causes some hitches aswell.

Well I toyed around with things and the game seems to no longer freeze when I have Steam in offline mode...dunno why, but I'll take it:) Thank you all for your advice! KillaCAM9900 is my steam name if anyone wants to hit up some RAGE coop:)
