Having major problems when mounted trying to back up, I've rode my horse through many tight spots and the worst one was probably when I went to the college of winterhold and rode my horse along that really skinny path/bridge. Basically my complaint is that when I press down S or the back arrow key (playing on PC, haven't checked Xbox version yet) my horse DOES NOT go in reverse! Instead he goes in a small circle until he is turned around but this is very very annoying because if you're too close to a ledge or in a bad position in relationship to a ledge it is impossible to maneuver yourself out without falling and dying so my only choice is to turn on god mode through the console, ride my horse off the cliff, then use the console to resurrect my horse and then turn off god mode and continue playing and it's just really annoying.

I hope a mod can be made or bethesda fixes this soon, it shouldn't be that hard for the horse to just take a few steps backward,

This is especially heinous when you're on a pier and have hydrophobia.

This is extremely annoying. I've fallen from bridges and cliffs many times due to this.

What horses really need are a first person perspective.
