One and a half inmersion breaking issues

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 9:37 pm

Hi there!

I just wanted to comment on a couple of bugs I haven't seen anyone report.

The first of them is regarding NPC schedules, which seem totally broken for me, I'll explain:
When I go outside at 4:00 am, I can see some people randomly wandering through Whiterun, Whatever the reason may be. Also, some NPCs simply don't sleep, and some others don't even move from a tavern or sleep at wierd hours. For example, after finishing the "In my time of need" questline (The redguard woman one), there are two Alik'r warriors standing right by the entrance of Whiterun, and they don't move at any given hour of the day.

The other one is not exactly a bug, but It's pretty much annoying nonetheless: with the sheer amount of stuff you can find in any house or even outside, in markets; and how close everything seems to be in most places, It's really hard not to throw stuff away when walking (not to mention shouting, I missplaced everything when I fought in *some* Jarl's palace). The thing is, even after in-game weeks, things are left in the ground to rot, which basically kills the inmersion for me.

Have you got this same problems, or am I the only one? Do you know what may have caused them, as well as any way of fixing them? Thank you in advance!

Glad I'm not the only one who pointed that out. It's sad that stuff like this break the game. RPG's, especially this massive one, are ment to make you feel like a hero, make you feel like this stuff is all real. I did not felt like a dragonborn yet.

Back in oblivion's days, I was playing it on master, fully modded to balance the combats, playing like a damn RPGeek (no fast travels, by exemple) and adding more than 500hrs of modded gameplay. And let's not talk about Morrowind :P.

Anyway, it just svcks that Skyrim has that many issues to fix (and most of them won't be officially fixed).

Some NPC's just sleep at weird hours(thats realistic as everybody isn't going to rest at the same time), but i have notice that when waiting in riverwood just about everybody sleeps in the inn instead of their own bed kinda weird. All for the litter in your game... pick it up, sell it idk, you created the problem, some NPC's will pick up your stuff if its worth it, but you dropping random crap and expecting it to disappear? that realistic, nobody wants your trash why would they pick it up?

Not dropping, stomping on It... It's hard not to, specially if there is a quest involving a battle in some places, even a Jarl's palace... The tables end up empty and the floors full of pots and jars.

There is no way of rotating the items with ease, and besides, there are like 15 or 30 items scattered on the floor in some specific cases... I'd preder not to lose that much time, It would be better if that kind of things were restored after X days ingame without entering that house.

In morrowind those things didn't happen, and in oblivion there was a lesser amount of stuff in houses, as well as more room for the player.

Bump!
I like the Stuff getting knocked of and it not just respawning later, i like how npc's will pick up stuff or fight over it, just pick it up, seriously, dont fight on tables if you want the stuff to stay there, i've never even knock anything off a table yet 65 hours in, focus on something else like a quest

I've got that bug too - I'm just pretending that since there leader's dead - they've offered their services as guards of Whiterun...

It's still really annoying. Regarding the mass-insomnia, do people in your game follow normal time schedules? do Innkeepers sleep?
