MULTIPLE AUTO-SAVES ON PS3?

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 7:34 am

Is anyone else having this problem? Along with the framerate drops like most other PS3 users are experiencing, I am also noticing that Skyrim is creating a new save file for every singe door, fast travel, wait or sleep that I do, basically anything that makes the game save. After a while I will have to quit my game and go to the Save Data Utility in the XMB and delete about four or five saves because its eating up my memory. If anyone else is having this problem, please post because this is extremely frustrating.

It is frustrating but you can turn them off if you want to in the "Settings" menu under "Gameplay". A word of warning though, I did this once and did loads of stuff but forgot to manually save and when I got killed by a dragon I lost all my progress! Just remember to save manually often.

It only has three auto saves that it cycles through, wiping over the least recent one. You needn't worry about deleting them.

Unt mine face was palmed....

What a terrible state we're in. The game is so broken, some of the welcome changes that actually work are even being seen as bugs.
Dark times indeed.

it has a total of 132 save slots, 3 of which are rotating auto saves, and 1 settings save file , the rest manual save slots, After that it gets full and to do manual save you need to overwrite one of them.

Auto save has 3 or 4 settings which are all on my default.
1. Menu wait
2. Travel
3. game wait
4. and a timed save 5 mins to 10+ and off (this could be the same as #1 I forget)
