Patch 2

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 4:40 am

So i just got the update from steam for the second patch. Everything works fine but as soon as i turn on texture detail option, all the textures look blurry. I have an ATI 5870. I mean the blurry looks better than the grainy in this case. Distant objects seem to look much better but as soon as you look at the thing right next to you. You wish it were blurry.

Dunno, might just be me anyone else have this?

I see what you are saying as well but there is no pop in. My benchmark score is shameless though lol! I'm just happy it's out and I can play it again.

Thank you ID an Bethesda. Better late than never! :-D

Patch working fine here.

With the textures becoming blurry when texture detail is selected - sounds like the safe mode fallback mentioned in the readme being triggered.

My first quick run it warned me I don't have enough cores for texture details despite my quad core 940 @ 3.6ghz and it gave me a benchmark of 32 or "fair" despite my vertext 2 SSD. I closed all the other open windows and it stuttered. I'm just confused at what these graphics improvements require.

Anyone else still having mouse issues in the menus? The menus still don't register slow mousemovement in my copy of rage.

I scored a 194 on the benchmark with an AMD Phenom II x6 1090t @ 3.8ghz, a GTX 580, and a Crucial M4 SSD which has my Rage cache file on it. Not sure which of these components is more important as far as the performance goes.

Yes, the mouse still feels like its emulating anolog sticks to me. It is terrible when you use a lower sensitivity in game. I hope the next patch includes a fix for that, as well as the option to hold crouch instead of toggling it. After that, I have no more complaints.

I'm thnking that is a limition of the amount of ram we have installed. I can't enable it either.
I have a fairly high end system, except only 4gb of ram. Desktop in my sig.
I have some extra memory, but haven't had a chance to install to see if it will allow me to once done.
