Will Rage get a third patch/update?

1 We were promissed an editor.
2 Some people still have glare problems.
3 We need bots to play multi player, since the online died.
4 We were told we would get DLC we could buy.
5 Will we get any more effects like HDR, mostion blurr, depth of field, etc?
6 Also some people still have mouse problems.

Could we get a response from some one at id.

Gstaff I am looking at you!

1. It's still coming out - they're just prepping it for release (eg. various Xbox/PS3 functions need to taken out to not compromise their security etc.)
4. Should still be coming out. If they scrapped it, they would've just removed that button in the game menu.
5. Seems unlikely, but not impossible that they'd release some experimental effects as they've already talked about 'pixel perfect motion blur' and such. BTW the game already has Depth of Field - though it's are not present most of the time.

When is Depth of Field present?

Is pixel perfect motion blur the same thing as object based mostion blur? I would love to have that.

Example of the DOF-effect (visible when standing in the exit of various buildings in eg. Wellspring or leaving the scientist): http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/6175/ragedof.jpg

As for motion blur, do you really like so much? Anyways here's a screenshot of Rage where I have emulated a motion blur effect - then you can see for yourself if it really adds that much to the game: http://img802.imageshack.us/img802/3610/ragemb.jpg

That looks great. Thanks for the pick. You have a good eye to notice the depth of field at well spring.

'Pixel Perfect' simply means that there are no artifacts related to the motion blur - if you have played eg. Metro 2033, then if you looked close at the motion blur you'd see there is 'stroke'-effect around the motion blur.
It simply means "Motion Blur that looks right".

As for object based motion blur I'd assume they'd enable motion blur for objects aswell in games they would implement it for. I can't guarantee anything though :)

Third patch: please for the love of the gods of gaming id Software, up the difficulty a bit. I die more times in 3-hour gaming sessions in other games than in the three RAGE PLAYTHROUGHS (Normal, Hard, Nightmare) I did. I don't know about you guys, but there's something wrong in dying more times in several sessions than in an entire playthrough (much less THREE! )

Seems not.
Doesn't seem they ever like to talk: https://twitter.com/#!/Thollenshead/status/163713503801262080

Tim (Mr. Willits), will you please develop some sort of relationship with us, fans of your game? C'mon dude, be a bit more "David Jaffe," if you know what I mean.

My sig tells the story.

He would murder the entire clan without ever being seen.

Ah, lol. They'd take an arrow in the knee... though not explosive I assume?

Anyway yeah this non-communication from developer to fan is the kind of thing that pissess off tons of gamers. Not really me, but yeah. These aint the old times when one would wait. These days, developers post news, very often, and get feedback and use it. Id needs to stop the "we show you when it's done" ideology. It's okay to show updates even when they're not done yet.

There is actually a mod for exploding arrows.

He would sneak kill most of em'. He is almost invisible at the best of times and completely invisible when it suits him. He is also very tough. A dagger to the throat, silent and very deadly.
