So i'm level 10 so far, really enjoying the game.

But i'm still stuck with novice level spells such as flames and sparks. The game hasn't made it clear at all how i'm supposed to get better spells

Anyone that knows how i'd really appreciate your help!

You find a merchant that sells them. Like the wizard in Whiterun or the college. Occasionally they can be found as loot.

Easy, same as Oblivion pretty much. You got out and buy the spell, it tells you the rank of them and it tells you how much Magika it costs.

I completed oblivion a few years ago and with 1000G but hardly ever used magic, or remembered about it for that matter. Magic is brilliant in Skyrim though.

But to be truthful, I really like spark lol. I dual wield it so it's extra powerful plus I up'd my storm magic trait. So it gets pretty good. I also have lightning bolt, it is stronger but I don't use it much because it uses a lot more Magika. So savin it for down the road.
