Dead dragons doing crazy things!

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 10:01 am

example:

the dragons ive killed around whiterun now spawn in different places everytime i exit the town. sometimes by the gate, sometimes by the stable. sometimes as i leave town i see them drop and land on the ground. also, as they are dead, they should be skeletons but some seem to have their skin texture back. now this is a funny glitch and not one i wish to see fixed. but when this and the lag occur together it makes the lag much worse. i entered windhelm to go and sell some stuff, ready to save my game because of lag, when the dragons i killed proceeded to glitch out and make my game crash :( if only i hadnt turned the autosave feature off due to lag.

The dead dragons at my college keep fluttering and moving slightly and even though empty, they won't dissapear, after weeks of game time. I am sure this is some sort of bug (I won't surmise it's causing the lag problems but it surely isn't helping any).

Anyone from Bethesda can comment on this? Are we not in the Bethesda technical support or is this forum off limits for any legitimate concerns?

I had like 3-4 dragons at winterhold college entrance at one time.

The worst is when you have to fight random thugs inside the dragon bones.

They seem to go away after a few days but they may also come back not sure.

My first dragon outside of whiterun is still there, just switched spots. They seem to re-spawn where you killed them, but drop a bit and flop about. Really stupid looking. The first time it happened I thought the damn thing was coming back to life.

The other dragons I've killed, I noticed disappear after a while. I killed one right in the intersection of Riverrun in town, and it's gone, others I can remember have disappeared too. It's just the first dragon that's still hanging around and flopping about like a seizuring puppet.

I've experienced this as well, especially with a dead dragon in Whiterun. Every time I enter the city there's dancing dragon bones only adding to the amount of lag.

Yeah, that's weird actually. The same thing happened in Oblivion, but IIRC in Morrowind I decorated a house in Caldera which I just took over by killing the owner. Every single item stayed right where I put it. And I stored A LOT of stuff there, like weapons, armor and -my all time favourite items- torches, candles and lanterns. It was a mess, but heck, it was a place I called home. ;]
