How do you SHOUT? : V

I'm at a quest where they are asking me to shout to prove I am Dragonborn. I'm on PC. I tried equipping the shout but that doesn't work. I'm totally clueless, I've been trying to shout for like 20 minutes. The guide doesn't tell me how to shout I think.

Did you save it to a favorite? Make sure its checked off under shouts, since you can only have one equipt at a time
If you look on the controls setting (where you can remap everything), it should tell you what key to press

It's right bumper on the 360.

Yes I equippped it with favorites and I still don't shout.

It's the default key for shouts / racial abilities / powers.

(I'd bet that you can find a list of many commands - or at least the rebindable ones - by going into the options menu and looking for the "controls" section.)

And I think they finally got the Skyrim manual out on Steam. Not sure where to find it, though. I've got the book from my boxed version.

How to shout?

1) inhale deeply
2) exhale forcefully while activating your vocal cords

or

1) activate caps lock
2) type in the tips and hints Skyrim forum

Try typing in all caps

Otherwise, on page 2 of the manual, it lists Z as the default to shout. But first you need to go to "magic" and assign a shout

Yes I equippped it with favorites and I still don't shout.

I'm using the 360 controller with my PC and the only way that I can initiate the Shout (after selecting it either via the Favorites menu or the Magic menu) is through the right bumper on the 360.
