As advancing through the main story I have had a few instances of very frequent dragon battles. I was turning in a quest at riverwood and as I walked into the township, an epic dragon battle occurred. Dragon slew, and turned in the quest. Upon exiting the inn another epic Dragon battle, thought "awesome". Went on the quest to retrieve Esbern, fast traveled to riverwood, and another dragon, really... Leaving the inn and yet another dragon, four dragon corpses lay in riverwood streets. From here I fast traveled to a location closer to the sky haven temple, a short walk up the road I find Alduin raising the soul of an ancient dragon at a burial mound, that I put back to rest. And just up the road, I get surprised by yet another dragon. In a couple hours of game play I just feel like I've seen far to many dragons, any one else experience this?

I have experienced that too.

They should have made dragons hand placed, rarer, and much more difficult.

I experience the opposite at times. I try to look for them all over and can't find them. But a few days ago I slew 2 of them. Today I was looking for them and this dragon literally landed and died right in front of me. I did not even have to fire a shot( or had time to) lol. But it took awhile to find one but I got a lot of loot for my trouble.

I have been told that the dragons are unscripted, I think that means that these dragons could be any were on the map. But thanks I will try to look more closely at Riverwood and Sky temple. Also the Inn most be tripping the dragons (bug).

Agreed, I find that after 65hrs and 24 dragons killed they've lost their epicness.

24 Dragons in 65hrs doesn't sound like to much, but on a few occasions I have slain 2-3 Dragons in a span of 10mins or less.

Personally i want more dragon's but would be nice if they were beefed up a bit as they seem a bit too weak. They are a little too predictable in combat.

The problem I've had is that I don't seem to get dragon souls from every dragon I've killed. After reading a bit on the interwebs people are saying you don't get the souls of re-spawned dragons. Some are saying it's a bug. I'm hoping it's a bug because if dragons re-spawn and you don't get their soul it's like fighting some sort of zombie dragon. Seems kind of unfair to have to go through the trouble to kill a dragon you've already killed.

Have you looked at the bottem right of your screen when you have your shouts window open? It should display the number of soals there.

That's not what he means. I know what hes talking about. After killing some dragons, they do not proceed with the animation where they burn up, leaving the skeleton, and the soul doesn't get added to your collection.

And if it did turn out that the "respawned dragons" theory proves true, I will be very confused because it would contradict with what was mentioned during the main quest line.
