» Wed May 16, 2012 3:57 am I was running through Alftand Glacial Ruins relatively early, probably before I should have (level 7). This freeze issue is consistently happening at the exact same moment, toward the end of Alftand Cathedral; just before facing the Dwarven Centurion. The first time I fought him no problem, except I didn't know what strategy to use so he murdered my Whiterun Housecarl (Lydia). I reloaded the game right then; now every time the Centurion activates the game freezes. It doesn't mater which set of stairs I use, left or right, or what weapon/spell loadout I have equipped. I've tried different armor and even just plain clothes; the game freezes at the exact same moment of the Centurion powering up.
I've since reloaded the game and left the dungeon by backtracking. I'm off to do some other quests and hopefully happen upon a quest that will bring me through there again. Any idea what could be causing this? I've read people mentioning the install is a bad idea, so maybe I'll remove it and that may help.
Bethesda, please fix these types of issues. I don't have these kinds of problems with other games. Your games are always really buggy, but I'm still a loyal customer. Hope the patch fixes it.
