Bethesda, what do you think?

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 6:18 am

I was just wondering, since I had all this free holiday weekend dedicated to Skyrim and I can't play this POS, what should I do with my time now? So, would you guys think it would be a good idea to play one of the FPS's like Battlefield or Modern Warfare? How about Batman or Assassin's Creed?

The good news is that with those games, I won't invest 40+ hours into them and then lose all my progress because of a POS glitch which shouldn't have gotten through.

Just wondering. I mean, considering you guys seemed to have this planned out so well.

Meh. I've enjoyed my brief time with Skyrim a million times more than with those kind of games. I'll sit tight and wait for a patch.

That's the point... You're going to have to "sit tight." My question is... What should I do while I sit tight? I have nothing to do during my weekend that I had dedicated to Skyrim.

This is why I bought the game day 1. I wanted to have this time to enjoy it. Now, all the enjoyment is nulled by this sense of broken-ness.

Please lock. Too full of tantrum, immature behavior.

Relax, don't cry about it. Jeez... they'll lock it when they see it. You think they're able to answer this question? ROFL

I just want acknowledgement on their part that this game is a POS and broken at this point.

I've been playing Skyrim all weekend (Not a holiday here in Canada)

While I haven't been having some of the major problems I've heard elsewhere, I've logged over 40 hours in both my characters and no issues or glitches that broke the game.

But - to the question at hand!

I would recommend downloading and playing DCU Online. It is free, it is a great time killer, and if you like it enough to smack down the 10 bucks for the DLC you are upgraded to a Premium account for life.

I was playing DCU Online to kill time until the 11th so - it is a good call. I haven't played BF3 or MW3 yet, Skyrim has been all encompassing. Don't worry - I am sure the patch will be out soon. :3

I am in the same boat as you. Although my game is only at 7mb save file, I am just starting to see the lag, and don't want it to ruin the experience. Plus we don't know if the "patch" will force us to restart our games, so I really don't want to wasted my time.

I gamefly-d Uncharted 3 and beat it once. It was ok, but I didn't think it was nearly as good as 2 (which I played through 3 times), and I can't even force myself to play it again. I also just got Batman Arkham City yesterday and fired it up. It is pretty good, but all I can think about is getting back into Skyrim. I think this is a testament to how good I think Skyrim is, more than it is a negative about Batman. I will try it again today to see if I can get into it, but I doubt it.....
