How to check what version of Skyrim is running on my PC?

There should be a version number at the lower left of the main startup screen as I recall. That tells you which version you have running.

If Steam is set to auto update and you are in online mode, then it's pretty much gurenteed you have the latest patch. Also, if you open the game it says the version in one of the corners. Or if you really aren't sure, right click Skyrim in your games Library, then Properties > Local Files > Verify game cache. Then if by some weird chance Steam is not downloading the patch, it will noticed, then download it.

Anytime you press "ESC" in game you will see the version number in the lower left corner of the screen. If you have Steam set to automatically update (it's on by default) the game will update any time you are not playing a game, or attempt to launch a game with updates.

I think the version appears only when you are playing either after loading a save or started a new game, then bringing the game menu.

Yeah, what Rarity said. I thought it was on the main menu, but it's when you press ESC while ingame

It also appears at the Launcher if I remember well.
