Called tech support twice now. Tried the sound thing, updated drivers, reinstalling directX, reistalling the game, closing out random processes, but nothing seems to work. All of my non Bethesda steam games work, but I'm still at the same problem. Skyrim launcher comes up, but clicking play does the same thing as clicking exit does... Any other things I should try? On hold with tech support again for the time being...

Did you look into the Antivirus thing I suggested in your OTHER thread? You should be re-posting in your previous thread, not creating a new one.
