Does anyone roam a lot during the night?

I liked it a little, b/c it was a little scary hearing a wolf howling, taking my axe and using my torch to see. That was fun. But here is what struck my new fear of night-roaming.
I was walking around with a torch. Suddenly, it disappeared (either i pressed something or the flame died idk). After a few minutes of roaming in darkness, a dragon roars and flies around me. I couldn't even see Lydia and then a tornado of fire came swooping at me. The dragon landed. I went in for a tought, almost blind, fight. While i was swinging for my life at the dragons body, i kept getting hurt by something. I turned around, couldn't see a thing, and just swung. It said frostbite spider. I kept swinging and then it said wolf lol. I was being attacked by like 2 spiders and wolves, along with a [censored] dragon.
I still have nightmares of Hulgar's quick and painful death. Poor Nord. He was just trying to be a happy Drgonborn.

Was it that dark? o.o Where were you roaming? Unless you turned down the brightness or something; even in the wilds there's quite a fair bit of light

Hmmm....perhaps you need to adjust the brightness on your tv or in game. It's never been that dark for me. There always seems to be sufficient moonlight to navigate and make out what things are.

Also, I love roaming at night. Makes Nirnroot hunting that much easier. They glow like a flashlight. Also, I don't have to be afraid of the dark. I'm a WEREWOLF!!!!!!! LOL I just love it. Also, you may want to consider becoming a Kajit. They have nightvision in darklight situations.

I love exploring at night, especially in the snowy areas. It reminds me of my childhood, going outside in the snow at night to get something. I felt like a Viking back then, and now I get to feel like one again.

I love the night time, especially in snowy rock passes. The sound of a dragon scream echoing across a wide open valley at night was somehow executed perfectly in this game. I can't believe how amazing the sounds are, I usually have a super high ear for stock noises, I love how so much in this game was captured in the field and created from scratch.

I've been debating altering the time span in game, as I hate how soon things change, the sun comes up and I start feeling regret.

I too enjoy the updated and more realistic sound effects. Once, I was just outside a city at the stables and the wintery wind was howling. As I started out, I thought I heard something in the wind. Something that made you kind of stop and think, but never really believing what you thought you heard. I thought it was just some weird wind noise, then I heard it again, but much closer this time! It was a dragon!

It's so cool to be able to get an experience like that. All of the folks at Bethesda Softworks really put a lot of effort into this one.
