I'm stuck. there's this troll on my road guarding what seems to be a nirnroot. I can't kill him O_o i'm level 6

Come back when you are a higher level.

nvm i found out he was weaker when he was on fire. so i torched him then attacked with my blade. repeat.

I use dual firebolt spells with a few destruction perks, seems to work for me.

Beat my first frost troll at Lv7 with dual firespells.

Firs ttime i met one it one hit KO'd me at level 4, so i stayed away for a while

I ran into one on the way up to see the gray beards. I climbed up onto some rocks and tried using the bow on him. Useless. After 20+ arrows his health slider hadn't moved 2%. He won't come close enough to use magic...I figure he doesn't like fire...but I can't risk getting that close. I just climbed the rocks and skipped him completely heading up to the graybeards.

Why not ask a mod - they're battling trolls all the time

There's a book in the wizard of Whiterun's bookshelf all about killing trolls.

Amusing read and basically the gist is: fire. Lots of fire.

Right now I'm level three and stuck somewhere called the 'Sightless Pit'. There are probably about 30 trolls between me and the exit, and I can't go out the way I came in. What am I supposed to do?! Shall I just load from an earlier save?
