Hi,

I purchased Skyrim yesterday, installed it, the installation went smoothly, I loaded the game, when I press New Game, it says Level 1 on the top right corner, music and sound starts, and then everything freezes on that screen with the level 1. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and it didn't help, actually the only way to get the game to start was to put settings at low, and I refuse to play the game at low with the machine I have.

Here are the specs:

I7 2600k
GTX 580 1.5ghz
8gb memory 1800mhz
Soundblaster XFI Fatality
SSD Muchkin hard drive

Drivers are all up to date. I play the following games at maximum settings at the moment without any problems:

Rift
CoD MW3
Witcher 2
Dragon Age 2
M&M Heroes 6
LOTRO

So I am wondering what it could be, if anyone has any idea, please help. I really want to play the game.
