As far as I know, there are two patches, 2.1 is the one that was released today.

I'm from the UK, I downloaded the first a few days ago and the second one this morning. I didn't have any problems, I just opted to download the patch and then I got the loading percentage bar as normal.

Could it be your system?

Delete the patch data you already have in the Game Data Utility folder on your PS3, then try again.

I will be brief.

Before the 2.0 patch, I had saved 11 MB, later, 9646 kb.
Then I played for 5 minutes, and after saving, 9675 kb.
In 5 minutes rose by 9 kb.
Today I will play best to see if the situation has improved, but if nothing has changed, I'm going to change the game

Huh? if the patch doesn't stop your save file growing you are returning the game?

I will be brief. Save file size is not an issue, it wasn't that the problem also before. The problem was probably how the engine accessed to disk and how much data the game cached in RAM. Bigger save file = bigger changes in the world = in long session play too mach data cached so people noticed lag (that wasn't so bad as it was depicted by the horde). This patch, in theory, has improved how much data are cached and disk access. It's NORMAL that you filesize increase. Don't follow the whiny-i-dont-know-how-a-calculator-works-but-i-know-why-the-game-is-broken horde.

Give up matey.
I've been trying to explain that to people on here since day one... They don't want to listen. ;)
Unless Barney the purple dinosaur or a Teletubbie explains it to them, they will never understand.

LOL I see where you are coming from although the file size was representative of when so much data was having to be cached and was not specific to installation environment so gave users a global yardstick to measure when framedrop bugs were more likely to become an issue.

Is that why installing SSD has proven an effective fix?

Probably, as the random access speeds of SSD's are way quicker than HDD's.
