good idea for DLC?

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 1:27 pm

So, Skyrim is amazing so far,
But, what if they launched a DLC that implemented multiplayer arenas? With a 2v2, a 3v3, etc.

I think that would make the game absolutely incredible, and you could really test your charachers ability against others your level.

No.

Edit: There is also a section somewhere in the forums that discusses future speculation on TES and Fallout games with MP. IIRC.

well why?

Because

1) This is a Single Player RPG, TES series always has been, and always will be

2) It would be impossible to balance, and they would need to make drastic changes to perks, scaling, enchantments, and other things, and eventually it owuld just be WoW with better graphics

The only online I would even remotely allow is co-op with ONE other person and anything more than that Bethesda would have some splainin to do

No. The only online multiplayer I'd support is co-op with one other person. Though you could still hurt and kill your "friend" if you wanted, if you really wanted to.

I don't even like the idea of co-op, people would be giving great weapons to low rank people and just ruin the whole point of the game.

No. No Co-Op; no multiplayer. TES is purely a single player game, let it stay this way.

If you only want it to duel your friend, would you be taking it seriously? There are better games for that.

Would you ever say "____ is over powered! Nerf it now!"? If so, that's why they shouldn't make it. Take that stuff elsewhere.

Or would you just be goofing around, not caring about the fact that it's balanced for single player? If so, then we're on the same boat. Welcome aboard. Don't get too close to the edge. There are sharks in the water.

People already give themselves uber weapons and armor via the console (on PC at least).

There would be a huge amount of balancing issues and massive amounts of people complaining about different things; I'd be very hard for the devs to manage that.

Besides, games like this are enjoyed more when you're alone, multiplayer would ruin the game for me.
