Hi.

I would very much like to continue my game in Skyrim, and I would also like to finish the quest where you find out the evidence that the Grey-mane's son is being held by the other family. I snuck into the other family's house, and I managed to get the book (evidence). So I'm on my way back to the Gray-Mane house, and I enter the house. The guy that I have to turn the quest into happens to think I am his enemy, and he won't stop trying to attack me. If I reload, and do not enter the house, he will not come after me. If I enter the house to turn the quest into him, he will start attacking me and then if I leave the house, he will pursue me.

I really wanna just play the game. Ive run into this problem twice. Once was in Riverwood with Delphine, the bar owner's wife. I stole a coin purse or something and she would not stop pursuing me as a target. No matter how far I ran or how many times she would temporarily give up, she would just start at it again and it's like I'm a permanent enemy to her. I fixed that by restarting the whole game.. so I really didn't fix it at all.

For this Gray-Mane guy in Whiterun that I have to turn the quest in to, I did NOTHING to him. In fact, I'm helping that [censored] get his brother back. Clearly this is a game breaking glitch. I would like to know if there's some patch or update I can download to fix this. The game isn't really playable when I'm considered an enemy by someone I didnt attack or steal from. I looked on google, and apparently many people are having this problem. Whole cities will attack people for no reason, and it seems like a glitch that takes the fun out of playing the game. I just want to continue.
